Baked Fish Au Gratin
3 Lb Frozen white fish fillets, thaw, rinse, dry
6 Tb Butter or margarine
3 Tb Flour
1 1/2 Ts Salt
1/2 T Dry mustard
1/4 T Nutmeg
1 1/4 C Milk
1 1/2 Ts Lemon juice
1 C Cheddar cheese -- shred
Melt butter in saucepan on medium heat. Add flour, salt, mustard and nutmeg, stirring to blend. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
Add lemon juice and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Place fish into slow cooker, spooning sauce over fish to cover.
Cover and cook on HIGH 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until fish flakes. Reduce heat to LOW for serving.
