Fish Chowder

2 1/2 lbs. Whitefish, boneless
5 Tbsp. butter
2 cups onions, chopped
2 cups garlic, chopped
3 carrots, chopped
3 celery stalks, chopped
3 or 4 large potatoes, cubed large
3 small zucchini, chopped
2 green peppers, chopped
5 cups water
1 bay leaf
2 tsp. dill
1 tsp. marjoram
1 1/2 cups half and half cream
Salt & pepper to taste


Saute onions and garlic in butter until onions are clear. Add carrots, celery and potatoes and saute for 5 to 6 minutes. Add next 6 ingredients and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes. Add salt, pepper and cubed fish and simmer for 8 to 16 minutes until fish is cooked. Stir in half and half and cook for 2 minutes.
