Baked Fish With Cheese

1 lb. Sole Fillets
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 cup soda crackers, broken in pieces
4 oz. American or Velveeta cheese, cut up or shredded
2 cups milk
Salt and pepper


Grease an oven-proof casserole with butter. Layer in order starting with fish until all ingredients are used. Pour milk over all and bake for 1 hour at 350 F.
