5 lb. Whitefish, ground
3 lb. yellow Pike, ground
2 small onions, chopped fine
4 Tbsp. sugar
Combine onions and 2 eggs. Mix in fish, salt, sugar and 3 eggs. Form fish into balls. Put cut up carrot, onions and 1/2 pot water into 6 quart pot. Add fish one by one. Cook about 1 hour. Taste water; add salt, sugar or pepper to taste. Cook 1 more hour.
