Sweet and Sour Halibut
1 cup white vinegar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup tomato catsup
1 cup apricot nectar (canned)
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Simmer 30 minutes. 1 tsp. cornstarch mixed with 1 tsp. water
2 cups cubed pineapple (canned)
2 peeled medium tomatoes (sections)
1 cup cubed green pepper
Thicken with the cornstarch then add remaining ingredients. Keep hot. STEP 2:
1 1/2 lb. Halibut, cut into 3/4 cubes
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
Salt and pepper
Prepare Halibut cubes, mix cornstarch, water and soy sauce to a paste. Dip Halibut cubes in this and coat lightly.
Deep fat fry until golden brown. Place on serving dish and cover with sweet and sour sauce. Serves 6.
