Broiled Bluefish Fillets with Mayonnaise

2 skinless bluefish or mackerel fillets -- (8 oz ea)

For Mayonaise:
2 large garlic cloves
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Preheat broiler and oil a shallow baking pan large enough to hold fillets in 1 layer. Smash garlic with salt and in a small bowl stir together with mayonnaise, lemon juice, and pepper to taste. Arrange fillets in pan and spread mayonnaise evenly over tops. Broil fillets 3 inches from heat until just cooked through, about 7 minutes.

This recipe yields 4 servings.
