Beer batter Halibuts
1 lb. Halibut steak
Old Bay spices
Paprika, thyme, etc.
Sauce (ketchup & horseradish)
Mix beer with pancake mix to make batter. Should be of consistency so that it will stick to fish cubes. Add spice to taste. Cut Halibut Steaks to cubes and dip cubes in batter to coat.
Heat oil, approximately 1 inch deep (Wok works well). Place Halibut cubes, a few at a time, in hot oil. Turn when golden brown. Remove and place on newspaper to drain. Mix ketchup and horseradish for sauce.
