Broiled Halibut With Herbs
2 lb. 1 inch thick Halibut Steaks
1/3 cup butter
2 Tbsp. minced onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/8 tsp. dried tarragon
1/4 tsp. dried basil
1/4 tsp. dried parsley
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Place Halibut in foil lined broiler pan without rack. Blend all herbs and seasonings with onion and butter.
Add lemon juice, small amount at a time. Spread 1/2 mixture over Halibut. Broil in preheated broiler 3-5 minutes. Turn, spread together 1/2 mixture on Halibut and broil 3-5 minutes. Do not over cook. Remove to platter and spoon sauce on top; serve hot. 4-6 servings.
