Alaska Octopus Gumbo
1/2 c Bacon; diced
2 c Water
1 pt Fresh octopus; steam til tender
2 c Steamed rice; slightly undercooked
1 lb Tomatoes
1 cn Okra
1/2 c Onions; diced
1 Green pepper; diced
1/4 ts Cayenne
1/2 c Celery; diced
Salt and pepper to taste
Boil bacon in water for 15 minutes, then add the rest of the ingredients.
Simmer together for ten minutes. Serve with warm cornbread.
