Mackerel Stew

1/2 lb. fresh string beans
3 ears of corn, shucked
1 can sweet peas
1 bunch cauliflower
5 tomatoes
6 medium potatoes or long grain rice
2 cans Mackerel
1 bunch broccoli
2 medium onions, chopped

Cook the vegetables as normal cooking time. Add tomatoes and onions, spices or season as desired. Add the Mackerel and cook until well blended. If using rice place stew on top of the rice.

Serve with your favorite hot bread, corn bread, muffins, or biscuits.

Serves 6. For a nice variety add apple slices to corn bread.

You can substitute the Mackerel with Shrimp or Perch.
