Oven fried Fish

1 lb. fresh or frozen fish Fillets or Steaks, or three 10 to 12 oz. fresh or frozen pan-dressed Trout or other fish
1 beaten egg
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Thaw fish, if frozen. If using a fillet block, cut block into 3 portions. Dip fish into beaten egg then into bread crumbs. Place coated fish in a well greased, shallow baking pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Drizzle a mixture of melted butter or margarine and lemon juice over fish. Bake in a 500 degree oven until golden and fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Allow 5 to 6 minutes for each 1/2 inch of thickness.
