Sauteed Stuffed Squids

1/2 c Chopped onion
3/4 c Olive oil (divided)
2 Cloves garlic; chopped
4 lg Tomatoes; peeled, seeded and chopped
1/2 c Ripe olives coarsely chopped
2 c Buttered soft bread crumbs
1 ts Salt
1 ts Pepper
1/4 ts Ground oregano
6 Squids, cleaned


Saute onion in 1/4 cup of olive oil until translucent. Add garlic, tomatoes, and ripe olives and cook at a simmer for 15 minutes. Add bread crumbs, salt, pepper and oregano. Blend well; use this mixture to stuff the cleaned squid.

Saute stuffed squids in remaining olive oil until tentacles are crisp.
