Pickled Fish with Coconut Milk

1 lb Smelts, dressed
1/4 ts Salt
1/4 c Vinegar
1/2 ts Tumeric (optional)
3/4 c Thick coconut milk


Marinate fish in vinegar, salt and tumeric for at least 1 hour. Bring to a boil and simmer covered for 5 minutes. Add coconut milk and simmer 5 minutes more. Serves 3.
