Oven Fish Chowder

2 lbs. Haddock, fresh or frozen
4 potatoes, peeled & sliced
3 celery leaves, chopped
1 bay leaf
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1 clove garlic, crushed
3 small onions, sliced
1/2 cup butter
1/4 tsp. white pepper
2 cups boiling water
2 cups light cream
1/2 cup dry white wine


Put all ingredients except cream into a large casserole dish and cover. Bake for 1 hour at 375 F. Heat cream to scalding and add to casserole dish. Stir to break up fish if you used frozen fish.


Serves 6. Recipe can be cut in half for 2 to 3 people.
