Sweet and Sour Halibut

3 Tbsp. shortening
Halibut, cut 1 inch pieces
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 green pepper, cut in pieces
1 number 2 chunk pineapple
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
Cornstarch


Bake Halibut in small roast pan until tender saute onion and pepper until tender, add drained pineapple and pour over fish. Combine pineapple juice, vinegar, brown sugar, water and soy sauce. Pour over fish. Simmer in oven for 1 hour. Just before serving use cornstarch to thicken sauce.
