Fish Stew

1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup chopped onion
5 minced garlic cloves
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1 tsp. dry basil
1 tsp. dry oregano
1/2 tsp. turmeric or saffron
1 (28 oz.) can plum tomatoes
1 1/2 cups dry white wine
1 1/2 lb. Cod or Haddock, cut in 1 inch chunks
1/2 lb. Scallops, halved
1/2 lb. cocktail Shrimp
1 (6 oz.) can minced Clams
Salt and pepper to taste

Saute onion in the olive oil. Add parsley, basil, oregano and turmeric. Add canned tomatoes and wine. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes. Add fish, Scallops and Clams (with Clam Juice). Simmer until fish is tender (about 20 minutes).
