Cajun-Style Broiled Alaska Halibut

4 6 oz halibut steaks -- thawed if necessary
1 tablespoon olive oil
Seasoning Mix:
1 tablespoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano -- crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme -- crushed
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

In small bowl, combine seasoning mix ingredients; set aside 2 teaspoons of mixture. Place remaining seasoning mix in air-tight container and reserve for other uses. Place halibut on baking sheet or broiler pan that has been coated with non-stick cooking spray. Brush halibut with oil; sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of seasoning mix evenly over each halibut steak. Broil 10 minutes per inch of thickness or until fish flakes when tested with fork. Serve warm.

Tip: Seasoning mix is great on Alaska pollock or cod fillets.
